This semester, the Museum of Anthropology at Wake Forest University is sponsoring the Korean Film Series at the Reynolda House on Thursday evenings in January and February in conjunction with the exhibit, “Korean Funerary Figures: Companions for the Journey to the Other World.” Last evening, I served as commentator of the film Never Forever, which was directed by Gina Kim. Specifically, I discussed the film’s theme of the relationship between the 1st generation Korean parents and second generation Korean-American son as it relates to my personal experiences as a second generation Korean-American. More information on the Korean Film Series and events on Korean culture are available at http://www.wfu.edu/moa/events.html.
