  • NC LIVE eBook Collection
    The statewide library consortium NC LIVE recently released this collection of more than 1,000 e-books from a variety of North Carolina publishers. The collection includes popular and scholarly nonfiction, novels by well-known NC authors, and award-winning short fiction and poetry. All the books can be read online or downloaded to a mobile device. Individual books are listed in the library catalog, or you can browse through the entire collection.
  • Kanopy Video
    ZSR has begun experimenting with a new streaming video provider, Kanopy Video. A collection of Media Education Foundation films is currently available to WFU users via Kanopy; films can be found via the library catalog or the Find a Database page. Talk to your library liaison if you want to learn more about films available through Kanopy or other streaming video platforms.

    This primary-source database provides insights into the everyday lives of the American Jewish population over three centuries. The database includes documents, images, interactive maps, historical census data, biographies, essays, etc., based largely on collections from the American Jewish Historical Society.
  • Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1600 to 2000
    This database includes primary-source documents, books, images, scholarly essays, reviews and teaching tools, covering women’s activism in public life. It also includes a searchable online edition of Notable American Women: A Biographical Dictionary.

  • JoVE Science Education: General Laboratory Techniques and Basic Methods in Cellular and Molecular Biology
    JoVE Science Education includes instructional videos that demonstrate laboratory techniques. Each video is paired with additional video resources to show practical applications of the technique. ZSR subscribes to two modules, “General Laboratory Techniques” and “Basic Methods in Cellular and Molecular Biology.”
