While Friday night’s Humans v. Zombies event was the official HvZ event of the Spring 2016 semester, it certainly didn’t feel like Spring with 6 inches of wintry mix on the ground! In spite of the weather, 102 students came out to play! Thanks to the Student Activities Fund, we were able to purchase 21 pizzas to feed the crowd, and there were no leftovers! Papa John’s braved the weather, delivering the pizzas earlier in the day, and even left us the insulated bags so we could keep them warm until the event began!

Thanks to ZSR staff, David Link, Tim Mitchell, and Mary Beth Lock and family for braving the weather to staff the event! (and shout outs to our marketing friends, Meghan Webb and Chris Burris, who helped us spread the word that this event would NOT be canceled! Also, special thanks to our dean, Tim Pyatt, who gave us the green light to hold the event in spite of the weather, Dean of Students, Adam Goldstein, who also came out to support the event, and our HvZ student leader, Daniel Vickers who went above and beyond the call of duty to pitch in and help run the event! The feedback we received from the students let us know it was worth the extra effort to make this event happen in spite of the weather!

Our amazing students at HvZ!
