Olin Physical Laboratory

With groundbreaking taking place on March 31, 1988, Olin Physical Laboratory was dedicated on October 5th, 1989. A plaque inside the building indicates that the structure was given as a gift from the F.W. Olin Foundation of New York City, New York which was established in 1938 by Franklin W. Olin. The Physics Department was previously housed in Salem Hall, and the move to Olin doubled their space. Olin features several well-equipped labs for all your experimental research curiosities, including an entire floor dedicated to laser work. Two sunroofs (and the proper safety equipment) provide a wonderful location for prospective students to observe sunspots and get a feel for the passion for teaching that Wake Forest professors possess.
