Books
Use the Online Catalog to locate books and other materials in Reynolds Library. Search by Author, Title, Subject, or Keyword. Keep in mind that you may get better results using "Motion Pictures" instead of "film" or "movie" in your searches.

For a list of subject headings, click on the Basic Search Tab, select Subject Heading and search for "motion pictures". Click the yellow See Also icon to the left of the first result on the screen to see a list of LC Subject Headings having to do with film.
Film LC Call Numbers
- PN1900s which are on the 5 th level of the Reynolds Wing.
- Various other call numbers for specific types of films (i.e. books about Shakespeare on film will be with the Shakespeare books).

Film Reviews
- Internet Movie Database
Bring up the entry on a movie and then look on the left panel of links for External Reviews. Beware that you sometimes get reviews of the DVD, not the original movie, so check the original date of publication on each review. - For New York Times Reviews or Chicago Tribune Reviews use Proquest Historical Newspapers. Click on Advanced Search and then on More Search Options below the Date fields. In the Document Type box, you can select Review. Then put the Film title in the search box and click search.

Locating Journals in the Library
Some databases only provide you with a citation for an article, not full-text. To see if we have the article full text in another database, look for the WFU Full-text options icon in the database or use Find a Journal to search for the title you need. You will be shown availability in both print and electronic formats.
