Electronic Databases
To find scholarly articles in journals and magazines, go to Find a Database screen and use the "Subject Lists" for "Education."
ERIC is available from EBSCOhost. "ERIC provides citation and abstract information from over 750 educational journals and related documents from the Educational Resource Information Center and educational symposium report literature dating back to 1967."
Important: To determine whether the item is a journal article or an ERIC document, check the ERIC# field, i.e., (EJ609537). EJ means the reference is a journal article. Check the Find a Journal page to see if the library subscribes to the journal. ED number (ED261241) indicates that the reference is an ERIC document. ERIC documents are located in the Microtext Department. Library has ERIC documents from 1988 to the present. Nearly 100,000 ERIC documents published from 1993 to the present are accessible electronically. Use ERIC via EBSCOhost to locate these documents.

To identify which journals the library receives and where they are located, check the Find a Journal page. Current issues are shelved in the Periodicals Room, i.e. Section G. Older issues are assigned a call number and are shelved in the stacks. Note: If the library catalog states that an item is in Off-Site Shelving, ask for it at the Circulation Desk.
REMEMBER: If we do not have the particular book or journal article you're looking for, we may be able to get it from another library through our interlibrary loan network. Go to ILL to request an item. This service is available only to Wake Forest students, faculty, and staff.
