Skill Check

Once you have your citations to journals or other periodicals, search the journal page to determine if our library has the resource you need.

  1. Enter the journal title from the citation.
  2. If the library has the title, you will see links to the sources (print, electronic, or microform) for the title.
  3. For most electronic journals, the dates of coverage are listed.
  4. For print and microform, youmust click on Z. Smith Reynolds Library Print Holdings to see coverage dates. The catalog record also provides the call number, the title and its location in the library.

Checking the date of your article is important! In ZSR Library, new issues are typically kept in the Current Periodicals Room (Level 4, Reynolds Wing). At the end of the year, issues are usually bound and moved to the library stacks. Also, the library may not have subscribed to a journal since its beginning, or may have stoped its subscription.
