What is NetLibrary?

NetLibrary provides electronic access to books from many publishers. WFU users may access two groups of e-books within NetLibrary.

How do I find e-books from NetLibrary?

The entire WFU e-book collection is available through the ZSR online catalog. By searching the catalog, you can find all the books available on your topic, whether they are in paper or electronic format. Records for e-books contain the phrase [computer file] or [electronic resource] in the title.

You may also search for e-books from the NetLibrary home page.

How do I read e-books from NetLibrary?

To read a NetLibrary e-book:

  1. After finding a title using the library's online catalog, click on Netlibrary Electronic Book under "View Linked Resource".
  2. From the NetLibrary - eBook Details page, click on View this eBook.
  3. NetLibrary's Online Reader will open and you can select from the eBook's Table of Contents on the left to begin reading.

NOTE: The copy of a title is unavailable while a user is actively reading the title. After the user accessing the copy of the title ends their session, or after 15 minutes of inactivity, the copy of the title will be available for others to use.

You can print up to 5000 characters from a single book before you are stopped due to copyright regulations. You can only print one page at a time.

When do I need a personal NetLibrary account?

NetLibrary accounts may be used for authentication for off-campus use. If you already have a NetLibrary account, you do not need to use EZproxy when off campus. You must be on the WFU campus - or logged into EZproxy - to set up a NetLibrary account for the first time.
