Impact Statement Request Forms

Department Heads are encouraged to request an impact statement from the library in the early stages of planning a new program or when new faculty are hired.

Library impact statements help assess the level of service and quality of collections the library is equiped to provide to new initiatives or faculty members. Impact statements also indicate additional needs.

Impact statements can be included in grant proposals.

To request an impact statement, please complete the appropriate form to provide us with some details about the proposed new program or faculty. Submit the form to your library liaison.

The liaison will use the form to conduct a detailed assessment of the library's collections and services for the proposed program or faculty. S/he will also identify any gaps or needs in our services or collections. This process can take 2-4 weeks to complete.
