- Where do I print or copy in the library?
-
The library has 8 print/copy stations located throughout the building:
- Reynolds 2: in Circulation and in the West 24 Hour Study Room
- Wilson 2: in the Multimedia Lab
- Reynolds 4: in Government Documents
- Wilson 4: in Reference
Seven print and copy in black & white and one (located across from the Circulation Desk) prints and copies in color.
- How much does printing or copying cost?
- 8¢ per page. Students of the Undergraduate School of Arts and Sciences receive 50 free pages (copies or prints) per semester. Students of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences receive 250 free pages per semester. (The cost is 8¢ per side if you are printing double-sided, and each side is counted from your free pages.)
- What if I don’t get my free pages?
- Come the The Bridge, Reference, or Circulation Desks for assistance.
- Can students (or guests) pay for printing without a Deacon OneCard?
- Yes, students or guests can purchase a vended print/copy card from the vending machine next to the Circulation or Reference desks. (A card can be purchased with a single dollar and then additional value can be added to the card at that machine. Change is available at the Circulation Desk.)
- What if I forgot my Deacon OneCard?
- Free pages are only available if you have your Deacon OneCard. If you don’t have it, you can purchase a card from the vending machines described above, but you will have to pay for each page at 8¢ per page.
- Besides printing, how can I capture information from a workstation?
- In many cases, computer output can be sent to an e-mail account. (The copiers have a “Scan to print” feature which requires a WFU logon.) The majority of files can be downloaded to a USB drive. Or the information can be read from the monitor.
- What if I select and print the wrong job by mistake?
- Selecting the correct print job is the user’s responsibility. Only selected jobs are debited on the user’s Deacon OneCard account.
- What if the print quality is poor or the printer doesn’t work?
- Check with library staff for assistance. Users will be given re-prints for pages printed when the toner is low or there is a paper jam.
- Do print jobs sent to the printer, but not released, have to be paid for?
- No. The print job is not charged to the user’s account until the print job is released. If the user does not release the job, it is automatically deleted after two hours.
- Can a job released to the printer be stopped or cancelled from printing?
- No. Once a job is selected and released for printing, it cannot be cancelled. The user must pay for the print job.
- How can I add money for printing or copying with a Deacon OneCard?
- Students and guests can add money to their Deacon OneCard at the white vending boxes next to the Reference and Circulation Desks.
- What if the card reader doesn’t read my Deacon OneCard?
- If the card reader cannot read your Deacon OneCard, look for assistance at the Reference or Circulation Desk, or at The Bridge.
