DH@Wake Summer Institute

May 14-18 and August 6-10

We are excited to announce ZSR’s summer digital humanities training, DH@Wake Summer Institute!

Join ZSR’s Digital Scholarship team for a week of learning tools and methods for digital humanities research and scholarship! Participants will receive a $500 stipend for attending this five-day workshop. The week will focus on data mining and text analysis, digital mapping and spatial thinking, and building online exhibits. Guest workshop facilitators will lead sessions on the mapping tool, QGIS, and the web publishing platform, Omeka.

There are two opportunities for faculty to attend DH@Wake: May 14-18 and August 6-10. The workshop will be organized around 4 days of instruction and hands-on tutorials, with the final day reserved for consultations with ZSR’s Digital Scholarship staff on future project collaborations, or for further practice and instruction using a digital tool or developing a skill covered during the workshop.

DH@Wake is open to faculty from all disciplines, and is suitable for all levels of digital proficiency. Thanks to a generous donation to ZSR Library to support digital scholarship, workshop attendees will receive a $500 stipend for attending the Institute. Lunch and coffee will be provided each day.

Register by April 7 for priority consideration. Each workshop is limited to 8 participants.
