Katie Murray was born in 1897. She was a native of Rose Hill, Duplin county, North Carolina. Murray graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina, and the Woman's Missionary Training School, Louisville, Kentucky. She served as a Southern Baptist missionary in China and Taiwan from 1922 until her retirement in 1962. She passed away in 1982.
