WFU's Chemistry Department is a research-centered, interdisciplinary science department at the University. Collection materials include seminar files correspondence, Gamma Sigma Epsilon records, and academic and biographical alumni files.

Biographical and Historical Note

WFU's Chemistry Department is a research-centered, interdisciplinary science department at the University. It offers an accredtted Master's program as well as four undergraduate majors and concentrations. Gamma Sigma Epsilon wass a national chemical fraternity to promote academic excellence and undergraduate research scholarship. In 1931, GSE became co-ed honor society and WFU's chapter is active today.

This collection contains records of WFU's Chemistry department. Materials include seminars, correspondence, Gamma Sigma Epsilon records, and alumni academic and biographical files. The materials are organized into three series, Series 1. Chemistry seminar materials; Series 2. Departmental materials; and Series 3. Student history materials.
