The collection's logo

Archie Randolph Ammons was born in Whiteville, North Carolina, and was better known as poet, but enjoyed painting abstract watercolors. This collection features 20 digitized watercolor paintings created by Ammons between 1976-1979. This digital collection was created with permission from the Estate of A. R. Ammons. The Ammons watercolor paintings are also exhibited in Z. Smith Reynolds Library, and were a gift from Emily Herring Wilson (class of 1961).

The original prints are housed at the WFU Art Collections on the campus of Wake Forest University.
