Finding Aid & Inventory

Wake Forest University's Visual Resources Center is a collection of 200,000 images available to students and faculty managed for the Art department by a librarian. This collection includes an undated VHS inventory, a 1991 catalogue of the collection, and videocassettes documenting exhibits.

Biographical and Historical Note

Wake Forest University's A. Lewis Aycock Visual Resources Center and Print Collection is managed by the Art department. Located in Scales Fine Arts Center, the center is a reference collection of digital images, slides, art books, journals, videos, and DVDs. The image collection consists of 200,000 images of art and architecture from prehistoric times to present day. These materials are used by the art history and studio faculty and students and other faculty and visiting lecturers in other disciplines including literature, religion, world history, civilization, and languages. The current librarian is Martine Sherrill and the current Visual Resources Technican is Kendra Battle.
