Biographical and Historical Note
Scottville Baptist Church is located in Scottville, Alleghany County, North Carolina. The church was constituted on July 19, 1925. The church met in the Scottville Academy from 1925 until 1934, when the academy property was deeded over to the church. First building (academy), 1925 -, was a four room frame structure, 30' x 40', with plain glass windows and had a seating capacity of 300. It was remodeled in 1962.
