Biographical and Historical Note
Church constituted on November 20, 1758. Known as the church in Pitt until 1789 when it became Red Banks. The church was dropped from the Neuse Baptist Association in 1836 for having united with the Contentnea Primitive Baptist Association. This church has been a member of the Kehukee (1758?-1793) and Neuse (1794-1836) Baptist associations.
