      <p>The contents of these records contain minutes of church conferences from July 16, 1870 to September 3, 1991, including membership rolls, financial reports, correspondence, associational letters, and membership statistics. Other church records include deacons' records, 1941-90; announcements; church bulletins, 1988-91; the church covenant, 1947; and newsletters, 1959-91.</p>

      <p>Washington First Baptist Church was constituted in Washington, N.C. in 1821. It holds an association with the South Roanoke Baptist Association.</p>
