      <p>Spray Primitive Baptist Church, in its records sometimes called Primitive Baptist Church of Christ at Spray, North Carolina, was first organized with ten founding members on July 30, 1904. Later, more members would be added to the congregation upon the presentation of a letter from his or her previous congregation or upon recounting a real "experience of grace."</p>

      <head>Scope and Contents note</head>
      <p>This microfilm consists of four minute books for Spray Primitive Baptist Church: Book 1 covers the years from 1904-1925; Book 2 covers 1925-1953; Book 3 covers 1953-1959; Book 4 covers 1959-1965. Each minute book contains both the minutes and the membership list for the relevant period. Book 1 also contains a trustee list as well as the constitution and Gospel doctrine upon which the church is based. Book 2 also features a trustee list.</p>
