Biographical and Historical Note
Memorial Baptist Church was constituted on March 1, 1871 as Williamston Baptist Church. It became Memorial Baptist Church in 1936 and has been a member of Pamlico I [E] (1871-1880); Tar River (1880-1907); Roanoke [E] (1908-1955), and the South Roanoke (1955-present) Baptist associations.
