Records contain minutes of church conferences and membership rolls.</p> </scopecontent> <bioghist id="ref1"> <head>Historical Note</head> <p>Polkton Baptist Church was organized as Piney Grove on August 19, 1853. The presbytery consisted of Samuel P. Moton, Solomon Snider, and John Broadaway. Association memberships include Pee Dee (1853-1873, 1892-1909), Brown Creek (1874-1881), Anson (1882-1892, 1910-present). Polkton Baptist Church was known as Piney Grove (1853-1875) and Polktown (1875-1881).
