Biographical and Historical Note

Westside Baptist Church had its beginning as a mission in 1926 when a Sunday school was begun in an old school building in the Westside community of Red Springs, N.C. The church was served by Brother C. F. Gaddy, a layminister, from 1926 until 1930. In 1930 the church was organized and called Dr. J. N. Arnette to serve as supply pastor. In February of 1931, the Rev. E. N. Teague was called as the first regular pastor. It is located in Robeson County and is a member of Robeson Baptist Association.
