      <p>Olivet Baptist Church was constituted Aug. 17, 1833. It has been a member of the Catawba River (1833-54), Kings Mountain (1855-77), South Yadkin (1878-87), and South Fork (1887-present) Baptist associations.</p>

      <head>Scope and Contents</head>
      <p>Records consist of minutes of church conferences from June 5, 1852 to Oct. 1854, and from May 1, 1880 to Nov. 2, 1997, including a history of the organization of the church; membership rolls; the church constitution and articles of faith; and lists of officers and teachers.</p>
