Biographical and Historical Note
Hallsboro Baptist Church was constituted Sept. 10, 1876 as Bogue Chapel. It became Hallsboro in 1924. This church has been a member of the Cape Fear [E] (1876-99), Cape Fear-Columbus [E] (1899-1936) and Columbus (1899-present) Baptist Associations.
Collection Overview
Records consist of minutes of the church from 1876-1974; and records of the Woman's Missionary Society, including minutes and financial reports, 1931-59 [broken series]; and a history sketch, ca. 1913.
