Biographical and Historical Note

Holly Grove Baptist Church is in Hertford County, North Carolina. It has been a part of the following Baptist Associations: Kehukee (1805), Chowan (1806-1883), and West Chowan (1883-present). The church began in 1804 as Outlaw's Chapel until it became Holly Grove in 1825.

Collection Overview

Records consist of minutes of church conferences, September 7, 1822 - September 1978, including a list of members' contributions and miscellaneous items; and Woman's Missionary Society Records 1915-1925.
