Biographical and Historical Note

Connaritsa Baptist Church is located in Bertie County, North Carolina. According to Lemuel Burkitt's history of the Kehukee Baptist Association (1803), Connaritsa Baptist Church was organized sometime between 1797-1798, and was a latecomer by joining the Kehukee Baptist Association in 1803. This church has been a member of the Kehukee (1803-1807), Chowan (1807-1883), and West Chowan (1883-present) Baptist Associations.
