Biographical and Historical Note

Zon Roppe Robinson (1912- ) was a Wake Forest alumnus (Class of 1933), student secretary of religious organizations at Wake Forest, and debate team coach. He worked as an English professor at Wake Forest before beginning a doctorate program at Syracuse University. In 1943, he suddenly left Syracuse, told his family he would be serving in the war, and was not seen or heard from again.

Collection Overview

This collection consists of speeches, debate medals, a postcard, and newspaper articles relating to the mysterious disapearance (1943) of Robinson. It also includes research notes compiled by WFU First Year Seminar students on the topic of Robinson's disappearance, including photocopies of original documentation as well as summaries of available evidence.
