Inventory of the Anderson K. Clements Letters, 1842-1843
Clements was a native of Wake County, North Carolina and apparently was involved in Baptist affairs in the 1840s. His obituary appears in the Biblical Recorder, Dec. 21, 1892.
His letter to G. W. Purefoy requests his opinion on accepting members from other faiths who have not been baptized by immersion. A letter from R. Blacknall to Clements discusses a meeting in the neighborhood (Orange County, North Carolina), the selling of gold mines, and the election.
