John Davis Humber was an alumnus of Wake Forest College (1917) and medical doctor. He served as an Assistant in Anatomy at Wake Forest College, 1916-1917; as Superintendent of Southern Pacific General Hospital, San Francisco, 1927-1938; as a specialist in cancer research; and as co-founder of the Coffey-Humber treatment for cancer. This collection contains biographical information and reprints of articles dealing with cancer research, and a photocopy of the Coffey-Humber Cancer Research clipping scrapbook, 1930.

Collection Overview

This collection contains biographical information and reprints of articles dealing with cancer research, and a photocopy of the Coffey-Humber Cancer Research clipping scrapbook, 1930. Also included is a first edition of Humber et.al., Anglina Pectorus. The Anatomy. Physiology and Surgical Treatment (New Orleans, 1927).
