Howard Holly Papers
Howard Holly was a Baptist layman, active in the Wilmington Baptist Association, the Burgaw Baptist Church, and on many North Carolina Baptist State Convention committees. He was a member of many civic clubs and public service organizations. This collection includes Holly's pamphlets, writings, clippings, awards, and certificates of membership in Baptist and fraternal organizations.

Biographical and Historical Note
Howard Holly was a Pender County, N.C., native who was active in the Wilmington Baptist Association, the Burgaw Baptist Church, and on many N.C. Baptist State Convention committees. An involved community member, he served in many organizations including as a lifetime member in the Junior Chamber of Commerce, the Cape Fear Technical Institute Board of Trustees, and the Pender County Board of Education. Holly was also a distinguished member of Free Masons of N.C. He received a bachelor's degree in bookkeeping from Campbell College (1940), a certificate in County Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (1978), and was an ordained deacon.
