This collection contains three items: a University of North Carolina commencement ball announcement (1850), a Wake Forest College commencement announcement (1868), and an undated handwritten household inventory of dining wares.</abstract> <container id="aspace_1f30c0416f38065b9cef8a3c9099cddf" label="Mixed Materials" type="folder">1</container> </did> <bioghist id="aspace_52fdbf8d4a38b8cf7bba5801e9dfdef0"> <head>Biographical Note</head> <p>Paul Pernell Sholar was an alumnus of Wake Forest College (cum laude 1937) and native of North Carolina who lived in Gaston County and New Hanover County at different points in his life. He was born in Bessemer City, N.C., on January 11, 1913. In 1941, he married Gladys Malpass. Sholar worked as Manager of Sales and Miscellaneous Taxes for CSX Railroad.
