      <head>Historical Note</head>
      <p>Calvary Baptist Church in Reidsville, N.C., was constituted in 1901 as Mount Calvary Baptist and admitted to the Piedmont Baptist Association. By 1904, the church was listed as Calvary Baptist. In 1948, the church became a charter member of the Dan Valley Baptist Association.</p>

      <p>This collection documents the history of Calvary Baptist Church. The collection contains church roll and record books, newspaper clippings,and centennial materials. The church roll and record books include membership rolls and minutes, dated 1901-1959, across three bound volumes. Subjects include church covenant and constitution, financial matters, church officers, and correspondence between officials and congregants. The newspaper clipping are articles about pastors and church events; they are all photocopied. The centennial materials are event programs, planning documents, and photographs.</p>
