Biographical and Historical Note
Lou Rogers Wehlitz was an author of poems, historical and religious articles, and fiction. She was also a teacher in her home state of North Carolina, before becoming an editor. She worked in Chicago as a textbook editor, but moved back to Fayetteville, North Carolina after her husband's death in 1964. Wehlitz was a member of the National League of American Pen Women and other organizations. Her publications spanned multiple journals and newspapers, as well as multiple published books of poetry.
