Biographical and Historical Note

Mount View Baptist Church in King, N.C., was organized in February 1911 by a presbytery consisting of W.H. Wilson, J.A. Joyce, and W.R. Moser. The church had 29 charter members and elected J.A. Joyce as the first minister. In 1929 the church building moved from Mountain View Road to its present location on Mountain View Church Road. Upon forming, the church joined the Pilot Mountain Baptist Association, now known as the Triad Church Network.
