On August 22, 1829, this arm was constituted into a Baptist Church by a presbytery consisting of Elders Eli Phillips, Jesse Sowell, Ashley Swaim, and the deacons of Tom's Creek Baptist Church. Liberty was constituted with a membership of 25. This collection contains minutes of church conferences, articles of faith, the constitution of the church as an arm of Toms Creek, their constitution as a church, a list of charter members and histories of the church by G.W. Miller and H.T.
