This collection contains an obituary of James M. Taylor written by Thos. W. Babb (1870)- 58 pages. It is handwritten on a volume, which lacks covers, has broken binding and loose leaves. In addition, there are financial records (1874-1880, undated), church records (1857-1860), membership records (undated) and Sunday school roll (undated), and a letter to the church (1875). They are handwritten on loose-leaf paper. On some records, it says Piney Grove Baptist Church. Finally, the minute book contains church covenant, rules of decorum, membership rolls of males, females, and African Americans with notes of dates of dismission, decease, etc. (1833-1873), church constitution (1827), and church meeting minutes (1828-1878). It is handwritten in a hardcover notebook, which has a broken spine, loose binding and leaves, edge-worn covers and stained paper sheets. On the back of the last minute (1878), it says "Name changed to Reynoldson Church." A meeting minute (undated), a dismission letter to the church (1876), and a financial record (1878) on loose-leaf paper are also included.
