Biographical and Historical Note
Zion Hill Baptist Church was founded in 1916 by Dick Anders, Doc Kuykendall, and J.C. Pace. It is located 30 miles south of Asheville in Zirconia, N.C., in Henderson County. Members started meeting in informal spaces before being given land by the Pace family on which to build a physical building for the church.
