Biographical and Historical Note

WFU's Audit and Compliance Services is responsible for the University's internal audit and compliance activities. It serves as an independent and objective function to ensure that the University is in compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures that apply to all aspects of its operations.

The Compliance Program for the Bowman Gray School of Medicine and Reynolda campuses is a program to outline and communicated guidelines and a comprehensive understanding of federal and state laws. The Program was controlled by a committee of both Reynolda and Bowman Gray campus faculty and staff, headed by President Hearn and the Chair of the School of Medicine. They spelled out the rules and regulations in a set of workbooks with parts A though Z, including those of animal and human subject handling, federal investigative procedures, and which portions of the day-to-day that the Reynolda campus and the School of Medicine controlled.
