Biographical and Historical Note
The Wake Forest College School of Law admitted its first students in 1894. Needham Y. Gulley, a North Carolina attorney and newspaperman, was the first dean of the Wake Forest School of Law, serving from 1905 to 1935. Carroll W. Weathers led the school's move from Wake Forest to Winston-Salem in 1956. Most recently, School of Law Deans have included: Robert K. Walsh, 1989-2007; Blake D. Morant, 2007-2014; Suzanne Reynolds, 2014-2019; Jane Aiken, 2019-2022; Nell Jessup Newton, 2022-2023 (interim); and Andrew Klein 2023-present.
