Biographical and Historical Note
WFU School of Law was established in 1894 with the mission of preparing students to serve in the legal profession. To this end, the law school hosts a variety of guest speakers, competitions, and academic events that enrich the learning experience. Past speaker series include the "Conversation With" series and the Sager Speaker series. Guest speakers may participate in subject-specific symposiums, convocations, and milestone celebrations. The law school has hosted five U.S. Supreme Court Justices as speakers. It also hosts a range of interscholastic trial competitions. Academic events include professional development seminars and symposiums on a range of topics.
