Biographical and Historical Note

In 1893 the Wake Forest College Board of Trustees established the School of Law and appointed a committee to shape its direction. In those early years, the Wake Forest College Board of Trustees maintained control of the law school. The School of Law expanded, and formed internal governing boards, which included the Board of Visitors. As ties to the legal community strengthened and the alumni network grew, the Board of Visitors played a significant role in strategic planning, networking, and fundraising. Today, the Board of Visitors is composed of alumni, legal professionals, and business leaders who use their expertise to support the School of Law's mission and goals.
