Biographical and Historical Note
Wake Forest University's Women's Forum was created in 2004, led by Dr. Anne Boyle of College's English department and Dr. Claudine Legualt, biostatistical sciences professor at the School of Medicine. It was a descendant of the Association of Women Faculty and Administrators (AWFA), which began in 1988 on Reynolda Campus and then branched out to the School of Medicine. The Women's Forum is open to all faculty, staff, and administrators that support women and want to promote inclusivity and equity in academia. The goals of the forum are to promote a healthy working environment that acknowledges the needs of women and to promote collegiality across all schools of the University.
