WFU's Office of Institutional Research is responsible for conducting and reporting research and statistical data of the University, and for University studies and planning. The office also manages the accreditation process. Materials in the collection include accreditation and annual reports, financial reports, faculty files, undergraduate and graduate school statistics, university strategic planning, and statistical trends documents.

Biographical and Historical Note

WFU's Office of Institutional Research is responsible for providing and making available vital information about the University, mostly related to statistics and analysis. The Office of Institutional Research is also required to report various statistics about the University to accreditation agencies, including bodies such as the American Council on Education, the North Carolina Association of Colleges and Universities, and the Southern Universities Conference. The Office of Institutional Research is also responsible for planning and executing studies of individual departments on campus and reporting them to the University community.
