Collection Overview
This collection contains materials related to bequests, the Board of Trustees, Bowman Gray School of Medicine, the construction of the Babcock School of Business, the Fine Arts Center and other campus buildings, deeds of trusts, investments, foundations, rental and leased properties, real estate, the CAUSE Grant, and other financial concerns of the college and university. WFU faced controversy when it accepted the CAUSE (Comprehensive Assistance to Undergraduate Science Education) Grant from the National Science Foundation as a Baptist university, as $85,000 of the Grant was required to fund the University's biology department.
