      <head>Historical Note</head>
      <p>The Graylyn Conference Center was built between 1927 and 1932 by Bowman Gray, Sr., R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company board chairman, and Nathalie Lyons Gray, as a country estate. It is located on a 55-acre property and is now owned by WFU, having been donated to the University in 1972 by Gordan Gray. Today it is the Graylyn Estate Hotel and Conference Center, a renovated historic hotel with conference spaces.</p>
