      <head>Historical Note</head>
      <p>The Wake Forest Univerity Language Review Committee for International Students consisted of representatives from the departments of Classical Languages, East Asian Languages, English, German, Russian, and Romance Languages. The Committee served to approve petitions for exemption from the basic requirement in foreign language and literature for students who presented creidts from other accredited schools in languages not taught at the univeristy. The Committee no longer exists, and language waivers are handled by the Office of Academic Advising.</p>
