Biographical and Historical Note
WFU's Campus Kitchen is a division of the University's Pro Humanitate Institute and member of the national The Campus Kitchens Project. In 2006, Campus Kitchen began, building off of the HomeRun organization that distributed meals in Winston-Salem. The group is committed to redistributing food from areas of high access to low access across the city to help address food insecurity, relying on a student leadership team and volunteers who prepare and serve nearly 1,000 meals a month. Additionally, Campus Kitchen works to partner with a network of civic, non-profit, and private organizations to develop innovative solutions to reduce food insecurity.
