The Office of Wellbeing offers classrooms for training and programming, massage therapy and wellbeing coaching, and nutrition workshops. It focuses on eight areas of wellbeing: emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual. The materials in this collection include alcohol and other drug awareness coasters, announcements about Reynolds Gym, Office of Wellbeing newsletters and emails, Outdoor Pursuits calendar, new wellbeing-related projects, signs of stress campaign, Thrive promotional material, Wellness Center initiative fundraising and construction booklets, and a World Mental Health Day card.
Biographical and Historical Note
The University's new Wellbeing Center was completed in March 2018, as part of renovations to the W. N. Reynolds Gymnasium and cnstruction of the Sutton Center. The Office of Wellbeing offers classrooms for training and programming, massage therapy and wellbeing coaching, and nutrition workshops. It focuses on eight areas of wellbeing: emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, occupational, physical, social, and spiritual. The office's mission statement states that "Through evidence-based, data-driven, inclusive, and restorative programs, the Office of Wellbeing promotes personal and collective wellbeing and reduces harms and barriers to health, safety, and equity."
