Biographical and Historical Note
The Wake Forest University School of Divinity admitted its first students in 1999. In the first graduating class, the student body consisted of about 20 students; As of 2018, the student body consists of 125 students. 50% of the student body identifies as female, students range from 22 to 65 in age, and 46% identify as ethnic minorities. Students come from 82 different colleges and universities, 22 states, and 6 countries. Graduates of the School of Divinity serve not only in various religious leadership positions but also in other fields. 37% of the graduates are in congregational ministry, 13% are in chaplaincy, 10% are in non-profit work, 7% are in education, 3% are in counseling, 7% are completing higher education, and 23% are in other fields.
