Biographical and Historical Note
The Librarians' Assembly of Wake Forest University's Z. Smith Reynolds Library consists of librarians that have been appointed to library faculty, visiting library faculty, and teaching positions.
Faculty status for librarians had to be approve by top University leaders, the Deans' Council, University Senate, the College Faculty, and the Board of Trustees Academic Committee in 2008-2009. 3 Senior Librarians, four Librarians, 8 Associate Librarians, and 8 Assistant Librarians were part of the first group, minted officially on July 1, 2009.
The Librarians' Assembly supports the professional development among the librarians and seeks to advance the professional success of the library faculty. The Assembly is guided by a Governing Document, included in the Faculty Handbook, and Bylaws.
